South Shore Charter Public School prepares students for success. SSCPS works with each student to develop a strong academic foundation and marketable skills. Classes are small. The classroom is a creative space which ensures that every student receives the time, tools, and teacher access they need to fulfill their individual promise.
SSCPS's program is designed for today. Computer applications, math, science, and Spanish are integrated into daily activities for K-12. College courses are available to juniors and seniors. All students keep journals, complete community service, and participate in semi-annual Exhibitions of Mastery. Student-centered governance encourages ownership, responsibility, and initiative.
SSCPS students learn from the best. SSCPS has attracted an outstanding faculty and partner organizations, known as project “clients,” who bring expertise from across the country and the world. These respected experts are drawn from schools as well as the private sector and bring new perspective to students’ studies and experiences both in the classroom and during yearlong projects.
SSCPS's curriculum meets all of the requirements of the state’s Curriculum Frameworks and applies the cultural literacy Core Knowledge Sequence.
