K-12

Angie Pepin
Director of TEACHING AND LEARNING
This year, Angie has accepted a new role at SSCPS as Director of Teaching and Learning. In this new role, Angie will continue her work with the Curriculum Coordinators to provide instructional direction including vertical and horizontal alignment in our K-12 curriculum. Angie earned her Master of Arts Degree in Teaching from Pace University, her CAGS in Educational Leadership from Bridgewater State University, and her Bachelor of Arts in History and Psychology from Columbia University.

Matthew Tondorf
Director of Student Services
Matt has expanded his role from Director of Learning Services to Director of Student Services. In addition to Learning Services, Matt’s new position will include overseeing the growing transportation program, as well as additional student support programs. Matt received his Master of Special Education from UMass Boston and has extensive experience in inclusive education, focusing on special education services.

Laurie Hogan
ELL Program coordinator (k-12)
Laurie has worked at SSCPS since 2011, first as a Long Term Sub Elementary Teacher, then as an ESL Teacher. As the English Language Education (ELE) program has grown, so have her responsibilities, and she now continues her role as our ELL Program Coordinator. Laurie oversees ELL placement, testing, reporting, and Title III tutoring at SSCPS, and has taken the lead in transforming the EL Summer Program. Prior to her time at SSCPS, Laurie held professional positions in Higher Ed Administration at Boston College Law School and Harvard University. She earned her Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration from Boston College and completed graduate coursework in Teaching English as a Second Language at Cambridge College. She is a licensed K-12 ESL Teacher, avid traveller, artist, and mom.

Jamie Allen
Science Curriculum Coordinator & Teacher
Jamie has been at SSCPS since 2011, working as both a Science Curriculum Coordinator and a High School Science Teacher, and she will continue those roles this year. She earned her CAGS and her Masters Degree from American International College as well as her Bachelor of Science from Eckerd College. Jamie is also currently pursuing her doctorate in Educational Leadership and Supervision and is due to finish in Fall of 2026. Jamie has extensive experience outside of SSCPS as well, including serving in many teaching roles in schools around the South Shore, working through the TNTP fellowship program TeachPinellas in Florida, working in Marine Science, and doing outreach education and grant writing for a nonprofit and aquarium.

Donika Darabus
math curriculum coordinator & teacher
Prior to her new position as Math Curriculum Coordinator & Teacher, Donika has been a High School Math Teacher at SSCPS for 14 years and has taught every high school math class that we offer. She was also the High School Level Coordinator for 7 years, and currently teaches AP Statistics as well. Donika earned her Masters Degree in Secondary Mathematics Education from UMass Boston and her BS in Civil Engineering from UMass Amherst in 2010, and she has held numerous other teaching roles before her time at SSCPS.

Haley Edmondson
world Languages Curriculum Coordinator & Spanish Teacher
Haley has worked at South Shore Charter as a K-12 World Languages Curriculum Coordinator and Spanish Teacher since 2008. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish from Saint Anselm College in 2006, graduated with a Masters Degree in Education from Fitchburg State University in 2011, and earned her Professional Certificate in the Study of World Language Methodology and Pedagogy in 2020. Prior to her current role, Haley has held various leadership positions at SSCPS throughout the years, such as Level IV Coordinator and Spanish Department Head, and she has mentored and supervised countless teachers as well.

Kristen Mullin-Connolly
Humanities Curriculum Coordinator and Teacher
Kristen has worked at SSCPS since 2017, serving as both a History Curriculum Coordinator and Teacher. She earned her Master of Education from Fitchburg State University in 2013 as well as her Bachelor of Arts in English from Boston College, and has extensive teaching, tutoring, and curriculum coordinating experience at various schools around Massachusetts.

Walter Duncan
K-6 DEAN OF STUDENTS
Walter Duncan has been an educator since 1998, teaching English Language Arts and Spanish in schools across Detroit, Los Angeles, Washington DC, and the Boston area. In addition to his classroom work, he co-founded Quick Key, an education technology company that won the 2018 Visionary Award from the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce before being sold in 2019. Walter received his Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Fitchburg State University in 2024 and has been teaching Spanish at SSCPS since 2019. He now serves as Dean of Students for Grades K–6, bringing his experience as both a teacher and innovator to help students thrive academically and personally.

Maria Lappas
K-6 Principal
Maria has been a world language educator for fifteen years and has taught in Greece, Spain, and the United States. She received her BS in Marketing from Bentley University, as well as a Master of Spanish from Simmons College and a Master of Teaching Greek as a Second Language from the University of Nicosia. She is currently finishing her Educational Leadership program at Bridgewater State University and has worked as a Spanish Teacher at SSCPS since 2011. She started an independent Modern Greek School program in 2017 and is actively involved in the Greek-American community. She resides in Pembroke, MA with her husband and three sons.

Sheina Prince-Eugene
civil rights coordinator & reading teacher
Sheina has been a dedicated member of SSCPS since 2014, serving as a longtime Reading Teacher and previously as Assistant Principal for grades K–4. She plays a key role in leading family outreach initiatives and organizing cultural events that enrich our school community, such as the beloved Multicultural Food Night, African Diaspora Night, and more. Sheina also designs programs and curriculum activities that support the educational development of our youngest learners. She holds a Master of Education in Elementary Education from the Charles Sposato Graduate School of Education.

Kristen Gale
Literacy Curriculum Coordinator
Kristen has worked at SSCPS since 2013 and will continue her role as Literacy Coordinator and Specialist for Grades K-4 this year. She earned her BS in Elementary Education from Framingham State University and her Master of Special Education for Elementary and Early Childhood Teachers from Bridgewater State University. Kristen most recently earned her Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Reading Education from Boston University in 2025, and she has extensive teaching experience both inside and outside of SSCPS.

Elyse Kay
Learning services coordinator (k-6)
Elyse steps into her new role as Learning Services Coordinator after extensive experience at SSCPS in various positions, from Special Education Teacher, Trainer, and Paraprofessional, to MCAS Math Tutor and Interim Assistant Principal for Grades 5-8. Elyse also established the SSCPS Best Buddies K-8 chapter and has been serving as Lead Advisor since the program’s inception. She received her Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from the University of Hartford and her Master of Education in Special Needs from Eastern Nazarene College.

Christophe Teulet-Cote
PRINCIPAL, GRADES 9-12
TC is a seasoned educational leader, holding a number of head positions at different schools around Massachusetts and in Chicago. Prior to his new role, TC has served as the High School Assistant Principal at SSCPS. He received his Masters in Educational Administration from UMass Boston and is pursuing his Educational Doctorate from Northeastern University.

Mary Carter
Director of Guidance
Mary has been a dedicated pillar of the SSCPS Guidance Department since 2001, focusing on many different facets such as academic and college counseling, AP coordinating, overseeing the Dual Enrollment Program, managing exit standards and graduation requirements, and more. She has also helped to build many of the programs we now offer, such as On-the-Spot Admissions, college tours, our SSCPS Mini College Fair, and our Alumni College Fair, along with supporting AP, SAT, and PSAT testing. Mary earned her B.A. from Stonehill College and an M.Ed. from UMass–Boston, and holds a Professional Certification in Guidance Counseling (grades 5–12). Mary is also a proud mom of three sons, a wife, and the owner of a very energetic lab named Lucy. She is also a soccer mom, an avid runner, reader, traveler, and beach lover.

Michelle Gallagher
HIGH SCHOOL LEARNING SERVICES TEACHER & COORDINATOR
Michelle has worked at SSCPS since 2008, working in various roles in our special education department. She brings her wealth of knowledge and experience to her new role as Learning Services Coordinator for Grades 7-12. Michelle earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Bridgewater State University, studied Special Education at Eastern Nazarene College, and completed graduate work in Transition (School-to-Work) and Assistive Technology at Bowling Green State University. She is a licensed Special Education Teacher and a licensed Special Education Administrator at all levels.
