THE ANNUAL FUND

The South Shore Charter Educational Foundation raises money for the Annual Fund on behalf of different departments, projects, and causes at SSCPS each year. The Foundation hosts community events (like the annual SSCPS Road Race) and fundraises through email campaigns for different areas of need on campus. Our community is encouraged to donate toward different campaigns and support all departments at SSCPS, from the athletic department to our facilities maintenance, teacher and staff appreciation, Projects and Workshops educational model, and more. All funds donated to the Foundation are used toward their allocated initiative at SSCPS.

For over 30 years, South Shore Charter Public School has been a pillar of innovation, community, and academic excellence. This school year, as we celebrate this incredible milestone, we’re reminded of the power of generosity in shaping our journey and strengthening our future. Our goal for the current school year is to raise $50,000 and have 100% family participation. Donations will be collected through the remainder of the school year, and you can choose which department or area of SSCPS you'd like your donation to be put toward.

Every donations makes a difference, no matter the size. Help us celebrate our growing SSCPS community and contribute to our future successes!

THE HISTORY OF SSCPS

Our school, located in Norwell, serves over 1,000 students from K-12, hailing from 26 different districts across the South Shore. For over 30 years, SSCPS has been dedicated to inspiring every student to excel in academics, service, and life. Our mission is to educate students from diverse backgrounds rich in cultures and languages from the South Shore and around the world. We focus on teaching the whole child, recognizing that language, mathematics literacy, and scientific inquiry are the foundation of academic achievement. Our comprehensive curriculum upholds rigorous standards, ensuring alignment across all levels, and embraces differentiated instruction to accommodate all learners.

As one of the oldest charter schools in Massachusetts, South Shore Charter Public School has been a model of growth and progress over the past three decades. Each step of our evolution echoes the dedication of our founders and the unwavering support of our community. This year, we’re able to honor that evolution and look back on the considerable progress we’ve made as an institution, and as a community, for over 30 years.

Equally important as our remembrance of our journey so far is also knowing that our journey is far from over. With your continued support, we can propel SSCPS to even greater heights, honoring the dreams of our founders and shaping a brighter future for generations to come.
