MULTICULTURAL FOOD NIGHT 2026

Multicultural Food Night is an essential fixture in the SSCPS school calendar each year, offering an immersive experience that educates and entertains. This event is not just a celebration of the diverse cultures that make up our community but also an opportunity to unite people through the universal language of food. By showcasing a variety of cuisines, stories, and student performances, we aim to foster a deeper understanding and appreciation of the myriad cultures that our students, families, and staff represent.

Multicultural Food Night

Multicultural Food Night is a phenomenal celebration of our entire SSCPS community! At South Shore Charter Public School, our community is not just diverse, it is extraordinary. As of April 2026, our students represent over 40 different home languages:

  • 575 English speakers
  • 203 Haitian Creole speakers
  • 52 Spanish speakers
  • 35 Igbo speakers
  • 21 Arabic speakers
  • 17 Portuguese
  • 17 Yoruba speakers
  • 15 Chinese speakers

...and many more, including Vietnamese, Tamil, Urdu, Albanian, Cape Verdean Creole, Amharic, Turkish, Japanese, and beyond.

Families are invited to share a favorite dish that represents their culture and enjoy an evening of delicious food, connection, and cultural appreciation. We'll also have a parent DJ to entertain throughout the evening. Come taste flavors from around the world, meet new friends, and celebrate the traditions that make South Shore Charter Public School so special!
