SSCPS ANNUAL ROAD RACE
Each year, South Shore Charter Public School holds a community event to celebrate the start of a new school year. Join us on September 27, 2025 at 9:00AM for our Annual Road Race to celebrate our enrollment expansion at SSCPS!
The South Shore Charter Public School has spent over 30 years educating students throughout the South Shore. Recently, SSCPS was awarded an amendment request by the Massachusetts Department of Education to increase student enrollment from 1,075 students to 1,300 students by FY30. Through this enrollment growth, we seek to expand, improve, and enhance our facilities and educational programs for all current and future students in grades K-12. Road Race sponsorships will continue to fund advanced coursework (particularly in AP STEM), library sciences and research, world languages, art, music, and theatre arts, and the facilities needed to ensure student achievement at SSCPS. We are grateful for your generous support of teaching and learning - this support will continue to allow more students throughout the South Shore access to a meaningful college preparatory education in a diverse and inclusive environment, regardless of circumstance.

This event is being organized by the South Shore Charter Educational Foundation on behalf of SSCPS. 100% of the proceeds from the SSCPS Annual Road Race will go toward the Foundation.
Date and Time
The 2025 Annual Road Race will be held on Saturday, September 27th, 2025 at Wompatuck State Park. The race will begin at 9:00AM.

Student SponsorshipsIf you are a student running the 2025 SSCPS Annual Road Race, we encourage you to find personal sponsors to make donations on your behalf! Students running the race who also have 2 or more sponsors will earn a total of 4 community service hours. You can view the student sponsorship process on our sponsorship page.
Volunteer InformationSSCPS students can volunteer at the race as a community service opportunity. Students who run the race will receive 2 hours of community service, and students who also obtain at least 2 personal sponsors will receive an additional 2 hours of community service. Students who volunteer before, and after the race will earn community service hours based on the amount of time they spend volunteering.
