Introduction Letter
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year! For those of you new to SSCPS, my name is Charlene Salamone and I am the Food Services Coordinator. My role at SSCPS is to ensure that our school offers our students nutritious and healthy meals during school days. Since SSCPS does not have cafeterias, we offer our students a “Grab and Go” hot, salad or cold meal which complies with the nutritional guidelines set by the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program.
For your convenience, this year we will continue with our online meal ordering system called FamilyID. You are able to order your child’s meals online. All families must register each child in FamilyID. Please visit the SSCPS FamilyId Programs webpage to register your child. To learn more on how to register your child click here to watch a quick video. If you need any assistance with FamilyID registration, please call (781)205-2800 or email support@familyid.com. All meal orders will be made directly through this online system.
For the start of this school year, we are asking all families to provide their child with a reusable water bottle. Since we have eliminated the drinking fountains in the school, it is necessary for children to be able to fill up their water bottles instead of using the drinking fountain. We will continue to offer three lunch choices per day. Your child may order a breakfast and one lunch choice per day per child. Please review the menus carefully and order them accurately. Orders are due on Tuesdays, no later than 3:00 pm the previous week. Meals can be ordered weekly or monthly.
Even though meals are free to all students, you should still fill out a Free/Reduced Application because it may qualify your family to receive benefits from other state funded programs. Here is the 2024-2025 application and directions to apply for the Free/ Reduced National School Lunch and Breakfast Program meal benefits. If you need assistance on completing this form, please reach out to me. All applications must be printed, completed, and signed and sent directly to my attention.
Finally, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me at 781-982-4202 ext. 156 or email me at csalamone@sscps.org.
Sincerely,
Charlene Salamone
